Hadik Café and Szatyor Bar

The Hadik Café enjoyed its heyday in the 1910s, when Karinthy, Kosztolányi, Déry, Móricz and Aranka Bőhm considered the place almost as their living room.

In 2010, the Hadik House was revived in its original splendor with two catering and cultural spaces: the classic Hadik Café, which pays homage to the spirit of its great predecessors with its design, and separately the Szatyor Bar and Gallery, which reinterprets the bohemian world of the turn of the century in a more progressive, contemporary atmosphere. Both places are characterized by strong and quality gastronomy as well as a cultural profile.

The Hadik and the Szatyor are the permanent home of literary evenings, art discussions, musical productions and exhibitions, with which we intend to revive the long-desired café and cultural life, of which the Hadik was one of the strongest bastions in its heyday.
